New Snowshoe Trail Established

Summit Trail

The trail starts near the last power pole in the parking lot and climbs up through a beautiful birch forest then into some evergreens up to the lookout overlooking Dragon Lake. The trail is approx. 1.3 km long.  It needs a bit of work so if you plan to check it out, why not take along a pair of snippers and trim up some of the willows?  Follow the orange and pink flagging. The trail comes close to the ski trail but does not cross it and stays on the southwest side the entire distance. Refer to the attached map.  This is a one way trail so you go in and out on the same path.  A fine hike with great views if you have never been up to the lookout.
